Susannah Barry, MSW, LICSW
Owner
Hi! I’m Susannah Barry, the owner of Live Your Dream Counseling. I am committed to helping my clients discover what gives their life meaning and working with them to improve their mental health. I enjoy working with teens and adults as well as their families. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and, as the client, you are the expert on your own life. I don’t intend to tell you how to live your dream, just to help you in your process and be a part of your story. My clinical training is in complex trauma, crisis intervention, and complex mental health needs. I have an eclectic approach to therapy because I know that therapy is not a one size fits all approach. I use elements of CBT, DBT, ACT, traditional talk therapy, and various trauma informed models. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency), and SMART (Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment). I have been in the field for 10 years and have experience in community based mental health, residential treatment, domestic violence, and college mental health.
In my free time I enjoy yoga, spending time with my family, and reading a good book every once in a while. I live on the South shore with my husband and three children. Please reach out to see if I may be a good fit for you, your child, or your family. I look forward to meeting you!
